Climbing fascinated me as a small boy. During my youth, I took part in competitions and found enjoyment in coaching from the start. During my physics and computer science studies in Innsbruck, I was fascinated by big walls. Later, I went to India to climb Shivling (6543m) and El Capitan in Yosemite. I love testing my own limits.

Our Doctor - Two Passions, Two Careers

From the flats to the mountains - Although I grew up in the flat east of Austria, I was drawn to the mountains right away. After several years of intense sport climbing around Vienna, I way pulled towards bigger goals. Once I had completed my medical studies — I moved to the heart of the Alps, more precisely, to Innsbruck. It was love at first sight for me: skitouring in untouched powder in the morning, sport climbing in the sun in the afternoon – where else can you do that? Innsbruck is not only the place I'm glad to call home, but offers an ideal base — whether for quick outings nearby or bigger adventures in the Dolomites or the Western Alps.

If I'm not in the mountains, I'm up above them in a paraglider.

From Indoor Boulder to Free Climbing My passion for climbing began in the climbing gym and quickly took me to the rock walls of the Ötztal and Zillertal Alps. After years of intensive training and many first ascents in the local areas, I trained as a professional climbing guide. Today I share my knowledge and enthusiasm with beginners and experienced climbers alike.
