A classic alpine tour in the heart of the Kalkkögel, which are not without reason known as the ‘Dolomites of North Tyrol’. The tour offers unique experiences in an unspoilt, wild and romantic mountain setting, just 30 minutes from Innsbruck. The climb follows an impressive route along the ridge of the Schlicker Manndln and ends at the “Schlicker Seespitze”, at 2,804 metres the highest peak in the Kalkkögel. The ridge drops steeply to the left and right, offering varied climbing over towers, through chimneys and along ledges up to UIAA Grade IV on the somewhat brittle rock typical of the Kalkkögel.
This is an absolute classic of the Kalkögel! The Adolf-Pichler Hut, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt mountain huts, is available as a place to stop for refreshments. Here you can browse through the ‘tour book’ and marvel at the daring climbing routes of both well-known and lesser-known names.
